  • Bobby is 60, born in New Orleans and a union electrician by trade. He had the foresight to evacuate before Katrina hit after seeing the size of the storm on TV. He..."didn't want to stick around to see what a storm that covered 3 States would do to New Orleans". He told us that many did not have the means to leave and had stay and face the consequences. He has lived in the house since 1967 and his brother died on 4/18, the street address of the house. His home has great emotional meaning for him and he was looking forward to being able to move back in with his 80 year old mother.

  • Last look at our work. Team #2 finished completely putting on the first coat of mud in the entire house, including rocking and mudding the window cases. Quite an amazing feat for a group of kids in just 4 days!
  • Final picture after an extraordinary push on the last day to finish. Although hard work was needed to complete the job we managed to have some fun.
  • John T. Brown has been setting up his 12.5" f/6 Meade reflector telescope on the sidewalks of New Orleans for over 35 years! We had a great look at Saturn and 1 of her moons.
